My only complaint about this stool is that it is a tad short. And that's really complaint about myself, nothing to do with the stool. The stool is 12 inches tall, exactly as advertised. I knew I needed something short, and not too big in diameter, to tuck in-between a couch and love seat to act as a side table for beverages, saw this and thought it would be perfect - 12 inches, that's short! Yeah, I didn't actually measure to see what 12 inches actually looks like against the furniture. Turns out it looks ridiculous. No stars deducted for the stool being exactly what it said it was! It's very sturdy, looks fantastic, and a great size that is easily moved from place to place around the living room, serving where, and as, it is needed. It's a real utility player and is great height for a foot stool (too short for sitting though) and still works as a beverage holder next to the couch when I'm reclined and too lazy to sit up and use the coffee table like a refined human.
