My dog doesn't pull much, and he's only 25 lbs, but even his little pulls were enough to open up the collar d-ring wide enough to drop his tags on the ground and detach from the leash clip. Fortunately my dog isn't a runner; the situation would have been even more dangerous otherwise. I had to loop the leash around the collar for our return home. -3 stars.* * *Based on other reviewer's claims that this set ran small and didn't fit their pets, I ordered a size up (XL) to be on the safe side. It's actually on the large side for my 26 lb Shiba; the harness and collar fit well only when tightened down nearly as small as possible. The harness came with the threads frayed (see picture). Really love the collar, so didn't want to send it back. Didn't think too much about it. It was too big, so figured I would just snip the frays later. Finally two months later the harness will fit. Put it on her and the latch snapped. So my ratings on durability is based on the fact that the harness is useless to us. But the collar is awesome.
