I am a fan of Diablo blades and composite decking is expensive enough that I decided to spring for a dedicated blade for it. I used this blade in a Dewalt DWS779 saw also purchased from desertcart. That combination worked incredibly well for the composite decking material. It bogged down slightly at times, but it never negatively affected the finish or quality of a cut. When I got close to the end of the project, I became a bit bolder and began to try using this blade on some wood cuts (pressure treated 2x12s and pressure treated 4x4s). I was happy with the results. I then tried using other blades and even a few cordless saws on the composite material. Truly, the composite material cut very nicely using every blade I tried. Overall, this is a great blade. I am not sure I would buy it just for use on a single job using composite material. That is due to the fact that the material cut well without it. That being said, Diablo makes a great blade and I am very happy to have this blade in my collection. Like my other Diablo blades, I expect to use the happily for many years. A 12" blade is usually too big for most such. (I do have a Makita portable that takes something like a 16" blade, but those are less common and I wouldn't call it a "standard". This blade is meant for primarily miter saws, or "chop saws". They DO make basically the same blade in a smaller version, 7" or so for "standard portable circular saws. this blade is made for cutting cementitious materials like hardie board. This works pretty well, but I try to use a shear as much as possible to try to minimize airborne dust. **Q: Would this blade work for bamboo laminate flooring?** A: No. This blade was made for cement board siding ( Hardie ). Try Diablo D1216LF **Q: Has anyone used this blade in a table saw to rip hardie siding?** A: I bought a10” diablo blade for my table saw but I haven’t used it yet. Sorry I couldn’t help you out. I do love the 7 1/4 β€œ for my skill saw, Jerry **Q: Is this blade suitable to use for cutting fiberglass?** A: It could but it is an extremely expensive blade. There may be cheaper alternatives. Depending on the thickness you could get away with flipping a cheap blade over so the teeth revolve in the opposite direction. If it is thicker material you can look for a cheaper blade with more teeth. I'm sure this blade wouldn't have any trouble cutting through fiberglass if you're willing to spend the money. You may have to take your time because if fiberglass heats up on the blade too much it may gum up.
