If you don't, it will drain and filter a bit. To get a stronger suction for filtering, you have to keep squeezing the bulb. **Q: Can you use this in reverse to fill the tank with water?** A: You can not hook it up to a faucet, but you could from a bucket. But the bucket has to be higher then the tank. It still works on gravity **Q: How can I request a replacement. Small one way plastic valve had fallen out of position on first use. Won't work at all without it.** A: A replacement? If you just buy it I would recommend to just refund it and get a new one.ones the valve stopped working is not the same, just get new one **Q: Would this work for cleaning an aero garden?** A: I don’t have an aero garden but I don’t see why it wouldn’t work. The basic need is the same. ## Frequently Bought Together - Luigi's Fish Tank Cleaner - Gravel Pump Vacuum for Aquarium - Hand Siphon Hose to Remove and Change Water or Sand in Minutes - Fish Aquarium Accessories, Supplies & Cleaning Tools - Exo Terra Moss Ball, Water Clarity and Odor Control for Aqua-Terrariums, PT2478, Green - API TURTLE SLUDGE DESTROYER Aquarium Cleaner and Sludge Remover Treatment 8-Ounce Bottle --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/100290403-luigis-fish-tank-cleaner-turtle-tank-accessories-gravel-vacuum-aquarium](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/100290403-luigis-fish-tank-cleaner-turtle-tank-accessories-gravel-vacuum-aquarium) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-22*
