Blade shows slightly rough stamped edges around the spine. Arrived with a sharp blade that holds its edge quite well. i have not used it enough to warrant a sharpening yet, but i am getting close. So far i have tortured it with light prying, can opening, fingernail trimming, aluminum plate scoring, insulation stripping, light hammering, plastic trimming (extrusion lines), twine, basically all kinds of things that usually cause me to get a new pocket knife every 6 months. If used in a normal fashion, i.e. NOT as I use, this would last you your whole life. If you are used to a locking blade, please be careful with this.
