I took on this project because when I moved into this unit, the cabinets were damaged with stains and grease and I could not get it clean. I use multiple degreasers and I hired professional cleaners to come in and try to clean the cabinets. They have even steam the cabinets and nothing could get the grease in the stains off the cabinets. So finally, I decided to paint it. Gray was not my first choice however, I could not find the navy blue I wanted, and so ultimately, we decided on a light gray, which I do not regret at all. Application was super easy. The two of us tackled this project in less than three hours. I will recommend 2 to 3 coats for better coverage. I also will recommend not putting a glob on at a time but instead apply thin layers, making sure that your brush strokes are uniform. The texture is perfect and the finish is also perfect not too shiny not to Matte. This is a perfect kit that provides you with all the tools you will need to get the job done. All you really need is tape and tarp so that you don’t get paint everywhere. I cracked my window and the paint dried super fast which made applying a second and third coat so easy and fast. And lastly, the amount of paint they provided in the full starter kit was more than enough. We only use one canister and that canister still has paint left in it. The other canister has not even been touched.
