Review: Affordable, rich and smooth - We own a Jura Impressa 59 coffee machine that has delivered consistent quality for many years. Recently I've noticed a deterioration in the Starbuck's Medium Roast sold at Costco. It's gotten bitter and lacks the sophistication of earlier incarnations. So, we started hunting for an afford alternative. Here it is. Other that genuine Blue Mountain coffee (so much of the coffee calling itself Blue Mountain is clearly not) our favorite coffees are usually a peaberry (one bean instead of two etc.). Unfortunately, these are not cheap coffees. The Ethiopian Yirgacheffe Kochere turns out to be a very smooth, rich tasting coffee without bitterness or unpleasant aftertaste. Works in expresso, flat white and cappuccino. Not so good for Irish Coffee (in my opinion). Until we find a better one, this is our new go-to coffee for daily consumption.
