Review: Super heater! - This heater is amazing! I have a two car garage with 16 foot ceilings and uninsulated but dry-walled. I tried a kerosene heater and a Propane Salamander heater, both had fuel that were two expensive. I had a 220 volt outlet in my garage so this heat was plug and play with little expense. this heater has a switch that allows you to turn it to a level that keeps the temperature where you want it. It does not blow out super "hot" temperature heated air but it blows out a lot of really warm heated air in volume so it will not burn anything up close but it will heat up your area really well. I have read that this heater is noisy... "Yes", it is, but the noise is because it blows out so much volume of heated air. It is the fan moving that makes the noise, nothing else. I can't say enough good things about this heater. I would buy this heater again and might for my basement.
Review: Short life - Got this 1-18. It worked great for 2 winters but now only heats to a certain point then stops, no matter how high you set the thermostat, even wide open, it runs a couple of minutes then shuts off. So it does cycle off and on, just not correctly. Still doing that today, 2-23-20. I think the thermostat is bad. These are made in Canada. Contacted the mfg. and the part is only about $10 but they want $30 to handle and ship it. No thanks. I just can't pay $40 for a $9.80 part that might fix it. Also the price of the same heater has gone up nearly $50 since I bought it.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can this be used in a residential basement?**
A: I don't see why not, I use it right now at our camp that we are turning into a house. It says industrial only but I see no reason , other than I would not set it on carpet. It has a fan so it does blow the air, make sure it is not close to anything. It may seem that it is not getting really hot, but it does work well

**Q: can you hook a programable thermostat to this unit and how?**
A: It is 220 volts so you will need a 220v thermostat......with a relay to turn it on and off. I would advise an electrician consult before you go any farther.

**Q: how low does the thermostat go**
A: The thermostat just goes from 0 to 10. It doesn't have degree settings.

**Q: Should the coils glow red when in operation?**
A: I thought it should also but mine does not. It still heat my garage without the glow.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Electric heater
*by D***E on January 28, 2019*

I use this to heat my shop here in the north country. It keeps my insulated shop warm at outside temperatures above 15 degrees F. The shop is 600 sq ft. I also use a gas heater to help initially warm the shop as the electric heater alone would take to long. Once the temperature is above 50 degrees F, I turn off the gas heater.
