The weight of the gi is about half of what my Century gi is. Still seems very well made, only time on the mat will tell. My concerns &/or issues with the gi follow. The size 5 that I bought is going to end up being too small soon. I'm 69" tall & weigh 200 lbs, I wear a size 5 in Century. I washed the Ronin gi once in warm water, & it's slightly smaller than what it needs to be. I'll bet after a few washings, it will be too small. Also the arm diameter is smaller than I'd prefer. It will make some of the chokes very difficult to pull off. The belt provided with the gi is about 10 inches shorter than other size 5s. I have several other belt brands in size 5, they are all significantly longer than the Ronin brand. Used the Ronin gi on the mat today. Felt good & held up well.
