It would be a much better suited for clubs, dance halls, or outdoor haunts, but smaller indoor settings may be too small unless you leave it on manual and only pump the fog when you want. It has remote controls that allow you set the frequency and quantity of fog that comes out, but then somebody has to man the machine. Part of my problem was that I used the highest quality fog juicy (Froggy's) and I used the "Long lasting Swamp fog" which seriously lasts forever. It made getting my smoke alarms to stop a real pain (batteries had to be taken out).
