Medium sizeMy wife loves the pockets and the comfort....after she took the tag out of the inside haha.The is a zipper pocket in the back and two side pockets that are great for work outs noting falls out.The black shorts are hard to photograph but I hope there is enough here to help you decide on this product. I stopped carrying a purse years ago, so you can imagine how my life has been trying to find women's clothing with functional pockets. Seriously, the person who invented fake pockets needs a slap in the face. I like travelling light - no purse, no gym bag - and that was very difficult to accomplish. The side pockets are phenomenal and I put my cell in one, my wallet in the other. My keys fit easily into the zipper pocket (I carry 5 total, one is a very large car key about 3" long, plus my gym key chain card), which is good because they aren't comfortable in the side pockets. Those are designed more for flat items.The positioning of these pockets is perfect for the gym as well. In regular workout pants with pockets, my phone starts slipping out when I'm sitting for weights. These pockets are snug, and not located near any party of my body that bends. I might just buy 5 pairs of these so I can rotate. THANK YOU SO MUCH, AZALE!!! Now go tell the rest of the fashion industry to shape up.
