I keep 250' Ethernet lines and steel cables on it, for quicker deployment in temporary systems. It is cheap and simple. I just wish it had a spinning handle on the spool to make it easier to crank. In fact, there is barely any handle to work with - just a small, hard plastic protrusion. I also wish it had a brake when you wanted the spool not to spin. When I'm dropping wire from a theater catwalk down to the floor, I've had it totally unspool on me when I run downstairs. But now, I just tie it off with some gaff tape when I leave it. No big deal.
