Our dog has developed separation anexity in his senior years and has gotten very destructive. We were locking him in his kennel but he decided to try to "chew" his way out damaging several teeth in the process. After discussing the issues with our vet we decided to try a basket muzzle to keep him from further hurting himself and light medication to help his anxiety levels. The muzzle is a very thick pliable rubber with heavy nylon straps. The softness of the muzzle allows him to lay his head comfortable in any position and doesn't seem to bother him at all. The company is great also. Our dogs muzzle measurement was right on the border of a L and XL. We ordered a XL and it ended up being too big. I followed the instructions on the insert that came with the muzzle for a free exchange and I got a prompt response from the company.
