We cycled it roughly 10 times before I realized the hydraulic tank was nearly empty. Once full, it transitioned smoothly from retracted to full extension after a few cycles. The only issue I have is that it may be a little to big for the pump and valve on our splitter as it moves slowly. Slower than the leaky POS that came off the tool. Either way we have a working splitter that doesn’t leak oil like Exxon Valdez.. Lol. Thanks. I would buy this cylinder again as it looks to be of good quality. UPDATE: 4-3-23 It has been a little over 2 years since we purchased this cylinder. I had the opportunity to run this log splitter again this weekend.. It still runs great, my pops has no complaints what so ever. it is still slow as stated above, but it has Zero leaks. This cylinder still looks the same as when it came out of the box.. the paint hasn't faded even with it sitting in the Hot Southwest sun for entirety of it's life.. I would definitely buy this cylinder again if we should ever need another one......
