There's no extra lining on the bottom and the material is thin, so it will tear. I used it about 15 times this year and the bottom gave out. The threads are coming off around the stitchings and the zipper is finicky. But on the positive side, it's much lighter and easier to carry around than hard round rod cases.Update (7/18/2016):The vendor has reached out to me and let me know that the issue has been forwarded to manufacturing. I was given a partial refund, but this update to the review is not based on the refund, but based on the fact that the vendor has recognized the problem and is willing to resolve it. I bought several of them and just started using them for transporting rods. After several uses, the zipper head snapped off on all three cases. They are truly a waste of money and time. Every fishing trip we go on I see someone struggling with a handful of rods to get them on and off the boat. I just put it over my shoulder and I'm ready to go.
