In a regular sleeping bag, he feels like half of his body is hanging out. Not in this one! He is able to tuck most all of himself into this very nice lightweight sleeping bag. When it arrived in shipping, the box seemed unusually small for a sleeping bag. I don't know that it will ever compact into that small of size again, but it does compact nicely into the included cinch sack. So overall, its packs into something small and lightweight, yet is long and comfortable for a tall person. The temperature outside was 35 degrees. They slept in a tent in these sleeping bag in shorts and t-shirts. They all reported staying very warm and cozy. I plan to order a few more in the future. I am 6'1 and I am very comfortable inside the bag, with room to move, and cinch the hood. I like the zipper design, which prevents the teeth from catching on the fabric. It looks to be easy to clean.
