I wanted a cover the would provide protection without adding much bulk. So far I am pleased with both of these attributes of this case. The cover fits snug. It does add some level of bulk to the phone, but it is minimal compared to other cases. It has a rubber liner with the gold shell. The gold cover looks sleek and I have gotten many compliments on it. I have only dropped the phone once and it landed screen side down. The case did a good job of protecting it. The edge of the case does sit higher than the phone so if you put it face down, the phone is still well protected. One reviewer commented that the case was painted and the color came off. That doesn't appear to be the case with the gold one. The gold appears do be gold throughout the plastic. The back does get minor scratches on it, but they are not visible from more than a foot or 2 away and so far the sides show no scratches. Overall the case looks great and appears to provide decent protection.
