The smoke black looks great with the red Passport. Slightly raised edges keeps the screen from touching the surface when the phone is face down. I normally prefer my phone without a case, but this is a perfect solution for those who like the minimal look but still want to keep the device protected. I bought one TPU back in Oct of last year at about almost the same cost. Ringke case quality is definitely a lot better. Only a few comments I have are the back is relative slippery providing less grip. Secondly, the cover plastic on the back (both internal and external) are fairly difficult to remove. At first, it appears the case has a lot of scratched but these are on the cover adhesive plastic. The sticker on the back (external) didn't help at all to remove these plastic. Anyhow, once you remove both, the case with the phone in place looks amazing. I also have been using Seido Surface case, but always prefer something that would not add too much bulk and weight. This case fits the bill just the way I like it.
