It is a good value for money. I sweat a lot during sleep. It prevents mattress getting moist and smelling bad. Although the protector is thick, it is breathable. The protector has a thin plastic waterproof layer but it is rough and doesn't make noise when sleeping. The skirting is really good as well and keeps the protector taut. The rough plastic sticks to the mattress. All in all, it works very well. Really happy with my purchase.
