I have waist-long curly hair and while it doesn't all fit in the towel without folding it in, it definitely reduces my drying time by several hours. The only complaint I have is that my hair is so heavy that it pulls the button up too high on the back of my neck. I've tried it the other way around (with the button on top) but the weight pulls the towel (and my hair) backwards too far.
