It could stand to be an inch or a bit longer than that to accommodate big bones. Perhaps that could be marketed as an XL option.A couple of months of daily soil, sweat (hyperhydrosis here) and grit exposure haven't had any obvious effects. With a hand wash and a rinse it returns to looking new. Hardware is sturdy and strap holes show no stretch or wear. The strap portion under the watch case is some added protection for the watch and added comfort for my wrist.
