Also the thing is large enough that cats can't knock over.It's good in theory, but you face a couple of problems with water once you start using it. Cats prefer fresh water, and they usually drop food and hair in the water bowl, so yes, using the water bottle will ensure a continuous supply of water, but the bowl will still be dirty and full of residues. You have to take the whole thing to wash, and it's not very easy with the water bottle still full.
