It would be even better if there was a pad on the camera mount, it is just a bare piece of steel and my camera is not cushioned on the bottom. I just improvised a gasket. It could also use adjustable arms on the platen which holds the computer or iPad or phone. As it is, my HP Spectre 13 sits right on top of the two end arms. Works perfectly, just hope no one runs into it. Also, the mount for the camera is only at 90ﾟ when it is extended fully. If you lower it there's a small lip which kicks it out so it is angled down just a hair. It's not really a problem, and another gasket, or washers, would solve it easily. (I may just remove the lip.) I was able to get everything nice and tight all around so it's a stable system, and well engineered. Buy 'Merican. Review: So happy with this - I was a little skeptical of this teleprompter considering that there are a lot more expensive ones available. And I considered making one myself but I’m very glad I did not. I’m a mechanical engineer and I’m impressed by how simple but rigid the set up is. It comes with a really nice case with foam inserts. The glass is great quality and the attachments to the tripod and the camera are really good. I think if you had a bigger lens or needed more space for a larger camera you could extend the rails as they are of a standard size. I used these for a couple of shoots and I have been very happy. The teleprompter mounts onto the tripod the same way the camera does. However, the teleprompter is pretty heavy especially after you add the camera so I would suggest getting a sturdy tripod. **Q: Can I use my kindle with this as the tablet and work?** A: That's an interesting question!
