The heavy duty zippers were important to me as the zippers on the last case I bought (and returned) came off in my hand the very first day.The interior is a lovely soft fleecy padding so there's no fear of damage to your firearms.The only downside is that the one and only pocket is too small for most things. That being said, it's not the best gun case for your long rifles or shotguns. Personally, I use this case for my trap gun (28" barrel Mossberg 500) and I find it to be a little tight once the gun is packed in there for a day at the trap range. I also pack in some small tools and an extra pair of ear plugs, and for that purpose it's great.
