The flight is stable, the proximity sensor in the foot is sensitive enough for consistent use, and overall it's a lot of fun to play with for short periods. The battery life isn't very long, but given that they have to keep the weight down so it can fly at all, that's not surprising and we've gotten a consistent 15-20 minutes of play time before it needs a recharge. It took him a little bit to get used to the controls but he has fun with it. I would recommend using it outside in a wide open space. It should be somewhere you are not likely to run into objects or accidently fly it on top of buildings where it would get lost. It can be hard to aim at times. The blades also feel a little thin, so keeping it from crashing into things would help it last longer. I worry about it breaking too easily if it were to crash into a building or other objects too many times. It is really fun to play with.
