The shape and length were what he was looking for. Unfortunately, when they arrived the blades were not opening and closing smoothly. He was so disappointed he said I can take them for my arts and crafts. I was able to locate the old brand I purchased for him and the Hamilton Bell brands glides like butter and is very sharp. I didn’t realize they were dissecting scissors. They look the same but the quality of the blade is so much better on the HB brand. The price is also 3.5 times less money so I cannot recommend this Iris brand.
