I have tried other paw cleaners but none worked. His paws would start bleeding because of harsh bristles. My friend recommended Doggie Dipper to me. I am waiting to see how well it does in the winter but the only thing I would say is find a stronger sponge/foam dryer. After only a few times it ripped in half when putting my dogs paws inside so right now I’m just using it without the foam piece which still works fine. First use, my 35 lb pup shredded the foam on the top. The sellers were great to send another one.Overall this reminded me of a plastic coffee can with some brushes in it. While it comes apart easily and it isn't hard to see if the water is getting dirty, I am not sure if it is any more effective than water in a coffee can.So the brushes are very very sparse and not tough enough to get into fur. The foam is very fragile and of doubtful benefit. It feels as if design decisions got translated into how can we make this less expensive. The viewing window and the handle are just fine.So overall it seems just like you are putting your dogs paws into a container of water and they come out very wet so you are toweling the dog off same with this device as a bucket of water.To be fair it might work for you, but for rambunctious dogs like goldendoodles or labs it is a bit of a mess that you want to use outside as it will splash and the wet paws got to be on the ground at some point.I think they are on to a good design and I'd like it a lot more if they made it more substantial. The foam is not very dense at all and tears easily. The cuts in it come about 1/4 inch from it's edge. How hard is it for a dog to tear a 1/4" piece of very fragile foam? The brushes, maybe by design are very flimsy and don't get into dense fur.I wouldn't recommend this but if they ever redesign this into a substantial device I'll try it again.
