However, when it arrived one of the wooden parts was broken. I had to re-pack it for collection and after phonecalls I got the damaged one collected and a new one delivered, the day after I contacted Amazon. That was quick, but the replacement chair was obviously a badly packed return, with packaging nearly falling apart. There were screws and washers all over the package as the plastic bag with them in had been previusly ripped open.The instructions to assemble are not easy to follow but I eventually managed the assembly. Some of the wood parts are badly finished and one slat has a small split developing where a screw had been put in. Howeer the chair works so I am keeping it and hope that the split in the wooden slat doesn't get any worse.
