The one problem I have with it is there is no battery indicator and it appears the battery goes down while not in use since if I plug it in after several days of sitting it starts charging.What would make this lock perfect is if there was some type of always on or on demand battery life indicator. Then you could determine if you need to charge it or not. As it is, I have to guess at the battery level and since I don't want it not to work because of a low battery I'm always have to charge it 'just in case' I might use it. This is inconvenient.Would be much easier to check a battery indicator and opt not to charge it if it didn't need charging instead of having to guess or assume it should be charged to full every single time you go for a ride and think you 'might' use it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ SOLID. COOL. EASY. *by R***T on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on January 9, 2020* This lock is cool (as far as locks go). Good design. It's a solid lock. Weighty (but not terribly so). If you have fingers, you'll be able to use this easily. Haven't tried, but you could probably use toes if you have no fingers.The only thing is there's no manual or instructions in the box. There's a QR code on the back but when you scan it, it opens up ULAC's Instagram page. However, there's a Vimeo video which helped (there's some vids on YouTube too, but we watched the Vimeo).When you first open the package, the default setting is such that anyone can put their finger on the pad and it'll unlock. You have to set/program the lock then it's good to go. And you also get 2 keys to open it manually. You should fully charge the lock before the 1st use.It works. I know the price is higher than a lot of other locks out there, but if you buy a bike or scooter or anything that you could use this lock for that's worth any money over the amount of free, you should use a quality lock. The price of this lock is most likely going to be less than whatever it is you're trying to protect. That's my thinking anyway. It is a little weighty, but not unmanageable or terrible (fits easily in a backpack or messenger bag or even medium size purse). It feels nice in hand and the silicone like coating protects your bike or scooter or other thing from scratches.
