Can it offset sideway insted** A: I had the same issue and bought this for the same purpose. I can say IT DOES work horizontally but to a certain extent. The weight of the monitor makes it tilt downward if you push it too far out. I managed to find the 'sweet' spot where it stays put and am sure there might be a way to lock the monitor arm swiveling mechanism.
