Salvatore's New York Times best-selling tale of the dark elf Drizzt Do'Urden continues immediately on the heels of Rise of the King , with an expanding war and greater danger to the finally reunited Companions of the Hall. Bloody war rages across the Forgotten Realms world in the third book of the Companions Codex, the latest series in R.A. Salvatore's New York Times best-selling saga of dark elf Drizzt Do'Urden. In the evolving world of the Forgotten Realms setting, the Sundering has given way to months of cloud-cloaked darkness, and war rages under that oppressive sky. The orcs have broken a hard-fought treaty that's held, however tentatively, for a hundred years, and the time to settle old scores has devolved into an all-out brawl for control of the ancient realms of the North. ## Images ![Vengeance of the Iron Dwarf: Legend of Drizzt: Companions Codex, Book 3 - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81i0T6p5vPL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Format** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Love the books *by on Reviewed in the United States September 14, 2021* I read a lot. I love the genre. I'm a late comer to the Drizzt books, but have been enjoying them greatly.Another review mentioned a couple spoiler/inconsistencies with the book/ recent series. I can only agree. (spoilers)Brueners "fatal" neck wound on the bridge? Never mentioned again. In the first book when they went through Guantlgrym, Bruener enchanted among other things his axe to flame on command. I kept waiting for him to use that ability, but it never happened. Huh? His shield had already been enchanted in an earlier book, but I think they sent it through the forge yet again. Not sure why, or what else came from it as it still had the magic mugs. And the helm? Enchanted but not really mentioned again.Three + books of alluding to a Drizzt/Tiago showdown, only to be pushed. It's like getting a preview of your favorite shows upcoming season, big reveal to happen, watching the entire season yet no reveal. I'm expecting more to come in a future book as obviously there's more story to tell.Minor complaints. I read to be entertained, and I've definitely been entertained. Great writing. Great stories. Great characters. A worthy read. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This Book Was Great Or I'm a Bearded Gnome! *by on Reviewed in the United States May 6, 2015* Picks up right where the last book left off and also finishes the story line that began in The Thousand Orcs. As usual the fight scenes are described in amazing detail, with some humor set in just the right places to balance out the political and drow centered chapters. There were some old faces that were present and given a fair amount of welcomed page time, it was great to see the Bronze Sisters in action finally! One of the newer characters is finally starting to grow on me. I'm trying to guess if she will come to her senses on her own or if the Companions will go after her once they realize that she's carrying Khazid'hea. Based on the title of the next book "Archmage" I'm hoping to see more of Gromph and how his goals come to fruition when they are staked up against the goals of the Companions since in this book he was a bit ambiguous as to whose side he was on. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ People were wrong about this book *by on Reviewed in the United States March 26, 2015* Great story telling and Combat descriptions. This book has everything that make fantasy great. I don't want to reveal spoilers, So all I say that if you have been on this journey with the companions of the hall from the beginning, you are going to really enjoy this book. There are parts that I'm tired of waiting for but I can wait. There are things I would've liked to be a little different, but I'm still happy with how things went. This story was action packed and it went from a very low point to a complete 180 in the span of like 3 chapters. It was all war but a fantasy war, with orcs, dwarves, elves, ogres, dark elves, frost giants and finally dragons, all in battle. It was truly epic. Some readers want these characters to be something they are not. They are real characters who dwell in a very rich world. They are not going to just leave wear they live, just because people tire of them fighting the same types of enemies. I have come to see this just is not going to happen. Everything with these characters stems from where they choose to live. It's their home so the enemies are going to stay the same. There is nothing wrong with that, and it makes these characters more human and realistic. They don't go searching the land looking to slay evil, the protect their home from it.I'm glad some characters were not in this book, it gives me something to look forward to in the future with these characters. I just finished and I am a happy satisfied reader. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/102077340-vengeance-of-the-iron-dwarf-legend-of-drizzt-companions-codex](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/102077340-vengeance-of-the-iron-dwarf-legend-of-drizzt-companions-codex) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-06*
