I use these to control my fireplaces, fans, TV, Fairy Lights both inside and out as this is powerful enough to reach outside. Many more little things like Christmas ornaments etc. that work with IR. I even have it programmed to log me into my Plex master account on Shield TV by punching in my code by going up, down and enter. Anything that your imagination can think to do, this will do with an IR device. Integration with Alexa is also flawless. A perfect top off to my connected home. It will not control audio systems that are typically used with home theater TVs except by using a DIY setup.2. There are actually very few devices it can control without DIY. Basically only TVs, Set top boxes and DVD players.3. DVD players are not recognized by Alexa and do not show up when setting up a scene.4. DIY devices are not recognized by Alexa and again do not show up in scenes.5. You can control very few things about the TV with Alexa. Only On/Off and Volume. You cannot even control the TV input.Not being able to control DVD, Audio Systems, and DIY with Alexa is a pain but if you could create scenes with devices turned on/off and set to the correct input, and Alexa could recognize and setup those scenes, I think I could work with that.
