Review: One of the BEST Tillman Books - Absolutely LOVE this book. We are big Tillman fans in this house (we have 6 or 7 of her books so far) and this one was not a let down at all. In fact, it jumped nearly to the top of my list. Illustrations are perfect, as always, and the plot was adorable, too: Mom and child wake up to find a "wishing tree" in the front yard, so the child wastes no time making wishes. Each page shows what the 2 (and their dog) do during the day based on child's wishes, until it is night and the child gets tired, then the sweetness comes in. "So I did what parents do - I picked you up and carried you." Mom returns child to bed and just before he falls asleep, he asks what wish mom made, to which she replies that her only wish was to be with him. Almost makes me cry each time I read it. LOVED IT!!!
