The product is good but I had to return the package one time because it wasn’t complete and the second one also came incompleted but I think it’s the greatest Mic you could possibly have for a Sony 7aiii

Wanted a black cord!!…URRRR…Lol

I was excited to receive the D3 pro ...... hooked it up with the included cable .... nothing.Turns out lots of cameras including Sony zv E10 have a TRS microphone huluinput... so it doesn't work.You have to buy a cable or adapter to hook up. So two days of nothing, and it will take three days to get the right adapter, and I leave the next day.. so I don't know if it works at all. Wasted HOURS finding an adapter that wasn't too bulky....Then there is the furry windshield problem. While waiting for the unit, I thought I'd order the deadcat..... it didn't come with one, I need a real one. How long is the mic tube? It doesnt tell you anywhere on their site or the net. They don't sell them a la carte for the unit either..... So I had to wait till it got here to measure myself. Do they tell you about any compatible fuzzy? No. No recommended deadcat.... go to YouTube... watch 6 reviews.... more wasted time. They could put a note in the packaging that you may need a different cable than what is included.After the mop up labor in this purchase, we added enough labor cost to get a fancier Rode Video NGT with KNOWN and published attributes, incompatibilities etc. Right now, I feel the purchase was a mistake..... I will re evaluate after I hear it... if I do. It will get returned, as will the furry and cable if it isn't right... and I will have to overnight another mic to get here before I travel to the project. If they want to play with the big dogs, they have to get it right. They don't.Look on youtube and Reddit for your camera before you buy. Maybe save your time and step up. I've already lost the time.... and have low expectations at this point... the "value" part is put of the equation.Update: This unit falls out if the hot shoe constantly and unexpectedly.The distraction ruins what you are doing. The sound was ok, but I'm going to sell my unit and get something that stays on the camera. . Just too much of a problem. They need to redesign the attaching mechanism.... because rhus is awful.Reducing from two stars to one star after using it for a couple of months.

Prefer it to the Rode it replaced.

This mic is absolutely awesome! Both on and off the camera! If you’re on the fence about it, trust me you won’t be disappointed!

I bought my mic in 2020, and after years of trying to get this microphone to work I have basically given up. It only ever records static. I've used the 3.5mm cord it came with, along with plenty of other replacements. The cord is a TRRS to TRRS, and I've tried replacing it with similar cords and also TRS to TRRS. I moved on to different and better mics long ago, but I'm still upset I wasted money on this mic. Worst of all, it's impossible to get a reply from Deity customer service. I'm about 0 for 8 on my attempts to reach out to their customer service spanning two years, reaching out to them for this issue and also for other reasons.

Do not purchase this product if you're expecting to get the traveling case listed in the pictures. I received this item with no case, then was told that the manufacture stopped including a case with this mic.

Me llegó el paquete pero sin el estuche como muestra en las fotos y el cable con entrada 3.5 no servía. Me arruinó mi viaje de grabación y perdí un cliente. No recomendable.

Sound is great, complements male voices, easy to use, 7 out of 10 for wind reduction and my only dislike was it didn't come with a case🙃 but other then the case which has nothing to do with the actual microphone.. it's overall a very good mic for the price.
