However, I needed something to complement my new leaf motif drapes hung on wooden rods. My husband was able to jerry rig a work-around by screwing a 1" wooden dowel into the end of my 1-3/8" wooden pole that the finial could tighten onto. The outer diameter of the finial is close enough to the pole diameter that it looks seamless. I'm very pleased with the result, especially after combing the internet for something that wasn't just a boring ball shaped finial. The metal is sturdy and the finial seems well-constructed. And it matches the oil-rubbed bronze finish of my pole close enough that I didn't need to repaint them.This ships directly from China, and was projected to take between two and six weeks to arrive.
