Spoke to friends (lawyer, lab tech, physician, nurse, DOT mgr). On point was lab tech that collects samples for screens. 1st key: Temp (ideally 95-97 F). Have only 4 min to produce sample as temp rapidly drops. 2nd key: Color - not too diluted otherwise can be deemed automatic fail. While cup doesn’t test color, it definitely detects pos/neg results even after drinking 96oz of water within 1.5 hrs for dilution. Lab tech said vit B12/B complexes (for color masking) is not “sus” as people take vitamins for health reasons. (Side note: another friend suggested try phenazopyridine hydrochloride (brand: Azo) for color, but even 1/4 tablet and drinking 124oz water minimum caused discoloration in panel strips.) Add’tl tip: Stop sweating out fat soluble byproduct 2 days before lab test - as these cups definitely detected it.
