But I didn't like that I had to get my phone to look at the time when I wake up in the middle of the night (which I do every night). So, I was looking for a small nightstand clock that would be quiet and that was not too bright, but that I could still read in the middle of the night. I'm impressed with this cube. First, it's a minimalist's dream come true: the cube is very cute, inconspicuous and would go well with any decor (I ordered the black cube). Second, not only does it show the time, but also the date and the temperature in carousel mode, but you can also choose to just have it show the time. Finally, the best part IMO is that you can set it up to be in energy saving mode and the time will only show when you touch the top of the cube or make a noise (like a clap, or verbal cue). The only thing I disliked was that even in the lowest setting the lights are still quite bright. But this can be solved by using the energy saving mode, which will turns the lights off about 10-20 seconds after you prompted the clock (by touching or through a noise cue) to show you the time. I don't use it as an alarm, so I haven't even tried the alarm settings (it doesn't have a snooze button, but you can set up 3 separate alarms to go off at any interval you wish). I really like this little cube. It fits my needs. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Simple and Easy to Use *by L***Y on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on August 6, 2021* Just got this clock, but so far everything is working great. The power cable is nice and snug in the port and changing settings is really simple. The brightness I think could go lower, but it has the energy saver feature which shuts off the screen after a short time and it can easily be turned onto its face if it's to bright at night. For those that are wondering, the batteries are NOT meant to be used as the main power source. I recommend reading ALL of the manual.
