I'm using it as a make-do bench grinder using an old heavy-duty Black and Decker drill clamped in a vise, and I've only used it to remove rust from some old spring clamps, but it worked like a champ. My impression is that it's quite durable and should last a good while, especially if you don't jam the edge of a workpiece up against it and are otherwise careful about the direction of rotation. Many wire wheels are made for angle grinders, but I don't own an angle grinder. Luckily, this wire wheel works with cordless drills and did a nice job of removing rust and paint in problem areas. My only complaint and reason for 4 stars is the durability as the wheel was essentially gone when I finished the garage for header. I then coated the header in a primer made for rusty metal. Good value for the money.
