However, this material has proven to be extremely strong and "rip proof' as I installed it with a staple gun. The integral webbing allows staples something substantial to keep the material stretched taunt under the joists. In addition, it has the excellent physical attribute of not having a "memory". Once I allowed it to lay flat for a 10 minutes on the garage floor, any curl in the material vanished. I was then able to easily cut it to fit with a scissorsThe reflective properties have cooled the garage attic space by at least 10 degrees, and I have only covered 80% of the the west facing roof joists.I was considering buying aluminized mylar chips and blowing them into my main house attic on top of the insulation for greater winter warmth, but the perforated nature of this material and the non-memory attribute has changed my mind. Using it to upgrade my toy box trailer to help keep it cool and warmer under new marine grade plywood roof.
