Stair washers are a must when starting or terminating with a tensioner/terminal on stairs/ramps to allow proper tensioning of the cable strands. It provides a flat bearing surface when attaching fittings at angled stair terminations.  The stair washer is used on the outside face of the post (before Washer/Hex/Acorn or Cable Quick Nut/Cover or Ball or Button) to help receive our 1/8" field assembly terminal or tensioner at an angle.   Recommended # of Stair Washers:   11 stair washers needed at the end of each cable strand terminating on a 36" high terminal stair/ramp post.   13 stair washers needed at the end of each cable strand terminating on a 42" high terminal stair/ramp post.  Only works with our   1/8" Field Swaged Assembly   1/8" Factory Swaged Assembly   1/8" Fine Line Button Assembly   1/8" Fine Line Ball Assembly  Note: Stainless Steel is highly resistant, but not impervious to the elements, and requires minimal maintenance for ideal results. We recommend applying Citrisurf 77 Plus to all exposed stainless steel components at the time of installation. In addition, apply Boeshield T9 if within 10 miles of a marine environment to further protect the stainless steel.  Please verify with local building codes.
