Can you connect this to a plug for electric power???** A: Robert, I never connect to AC. I bought a Cen-Tech 3-in-1 Portable Power Pack with Jump Starter from Harbor Freight Tools. Item#62306. It runs my bilge pump on my blue bowl for about 4 hours straight. (I usually only need it for 10-30 minutes for every 4 hours of sluice fines that i have.) I bought a rocker switch from the auto parts store (Be sure to get one rated at the proper amperage) and i put it in a 3X3 tupperware box and used silicone to ensure it's water proof. I attach the clamps from the bilge to the clamps on the power pack. I keep the blue bowl mounted on a 3 gallon bucket. I have the bilge attached to a weighted wooden block (it will float if you don't) and then i have the whole setup inside a Rubbermaid 37 gallon tote. When you're done, you empty the water out of the tote and store everything inside. I did add a valve to my tote for easy draining. I also took two 18/x12-1/4inche hardwood dolly's from harborfreight (item 61899) and attached 1/2 in OSB to them to make a platform that's easy to move. I then set the rubbermaid setup on top and can move it around my garage or outside to drain. **Q: Can it filter the larger flakes? Or its only for the very small ones?** A: I would recomend it for grains and smaller material under 1/20 mesh sizing. Flakes depending on the shapes, can be lifted up with the swirl and washed off. hope this helps. **Q: How many amps does the pump draw? i need to size an appropriate ac to dc inverter for running this at home.** A: About 1a. I have it hooked to a cheap battery jump box from Harbor Freight. Has run beautifully for four years. I did build an on off switch. **Q: Do the legs come with it?** A: No, the plastic black legs do not come with it.
