Those pins cause buzzing when deep bass is playing. It sounds like the license plate rattle on those cars with big sound systems... Horrible.I put some foam tape to cushion the vibration between the plastic speaker back and the metal stand, but that didn't help. After a bunch of trial and error, only removing the plastic plugs that you're supposed to use fixed the issue. It's possible that the plugs are just too long and the speaker driver inside was hitting it, but I didn't experiment with shortening the plug to see if that would be enough. It's possible that just the nature of the plastic plug tight up against the plastics speaker back holes was what caused the bad noise...
