Product Description Width with oars cm/inch): 60/23.62 ", without rudder: 13.6 cm contains travel holiday thread, plastic canvas and Papierflaggen, detailed Anleitungssheft with leaves. From the Manufacturer The proposed Réale is a restoration of the Réale which dates from the end of the XVIIth century. The sculptures which decorate it can be attributed to Pierre Piget, the well-known sculptor. According to the historical documents used for this construction, the hull of this galley measured approximately 170 feet long and 21 feet wide. It had 31 pairs of benches, one of which had been replaced on the port side with a kitchen. There were 7 men per bench, which indicates that there were at least 427 galley slaves. The Réale had two lateen sails, la Misaine and le petit Trinquet, for navigation. It would in fact be mistaken to believe that galleys navigated only by means of oars. The galley slaves were easily fatigued and the galleys navigated by sails during the journeys. Moreover, they travelled quite well using this means of propulsion. The oars were used during combat and manoeuvres.

As received, this Model is only 6" in length, has 23 parts, and weighs just a few ounces, and is a 1/450th scale. I tried to contact the seller, but only the first sentence actually went out, and it wouldn't allow me to add a picture attachment, therefore I have to use this review forum in hopes the entire message with pictures goes on record. as you can see in the photo the box is barely larger than my mouse. The amazon description was for the Heller La Reale De France boat model. it was advertised as 34.6 x 4 x 15 inches, 44 parts in one place and 900parts in another place. it was supposed to be 1/75th scale model and weighed 5.9 lbs. As received, this Model is only 6" in length, has 23 parts, and weighs just a few ounces, and is a 1/450th scale. I tried to contact the seller, but only the first sentence actually went out, and it wouldn't allow me to add a picture attachment, therefore I have to use this review forum in hopes the entire message with pictures goes on record. as you can see in the photo the box is barely larger than my mouse. Acheté pour faire un cadeau à mon père qui a déjà monté plusieurs maquettes de bateau c'est avec une certaine horreur que j'ai découvert l'intérieur de la boite. Pour un produit à 100 euros vous avez le droit à des pièces intégralement en plastique (oubliez le bois, y'en a pas) bien cheap genre playmobil avec de belles voiles en plastiques , ben oui c'est mieux que de mettre des voiles en tissu. Les autres petits drapeaux sont très beaux également, puisqu'il s'agit de drapeaux à découper sur une feuille en papier imprimée avec une imprimante jet d'encre à 20 euros. décidément un pavillon en papier c'est mieux que du tissu (trop noble sans doute). Prenez le tout et jetez le négligemment dans une boite sans aucune protection ( genre une des mes voiles étaient ravagées) et vous obtenez un produit qui à mon humble avis de vaut guère plus de 20 euros. Aussitôt reçu aussitôt renvoyé ! C'est juste inadmissible d'oser vendre ca. Merci HELLER pour votre indéfectible professionnalisme !
