This band probably broke. *by R***N on Reviewed in the United States on October 31, 2019* Appears to be identical to the factory band which broke at 132k miles. For $12 shipped it seems like a good deal.If your CD4E transmission lost second gear and you get the P0732 code for the 2nd gear ratio incorrect, chances are this band broke. I did replace the band without removing the transmission from the car and others on YouTube have how to videos to do it.A couple quick notes: the pump cover is a pain the get off. Use a 5lb slide hammer, an axle remover end (on the slide hammer), and two M10x1.5 x 75mm bolts with washers (I rented the slide hammer and axle pulled from a local auto parts store then bought the bolts. CRITICALLY IMPORTANT: have someone else who isn’t using the slide hammer hold the screwdriver in the hole to prevent the drum from falling out. If that drum moves even 1/16” out, some clutch discs can fall off internal splines and it’s a super pain, if not nearly impossible, to get it back together correctly without pulling the whole transmission and splitting the case. The skill level required for this job isn’t substantial but it’s a job which is very easy to screw up if the drum falls out.I also replaced the pump gasket and ring seal which required buying pump alignment tools and a CD4E manual to install correctly.
