I've used it with forms, as a glue for full cover tips and with regular tips and it's been great. I did get the occasional heat spike in my LED lamp but that's pretty much expected with gels, just pull your hand out for a couple seconds before putting it back in your lamp if you do feel that heat spike. It doesn't mean it's a "bad" gel like I see some people believe, it's just the chemical reaction taking place in the gel and is normal.
