Modern Victorinox knife compilation
A good synopsis of the more modern Victorinox pocket knives with less emphasis on their early 20th century predecessors.

Good for collectors
Good reference book for collectors! It isn't as comprehensive as possible, but still pretty good. It is very Victorinox oriented. I would have liked a bit more about Wenger.

Good, but Needlessly Incomplete
Any reference work is worth having. I have a few complaints about this book. First, it begins with a 22-page history of the stone age, then iron age, then iron production, art of cutlery making... :::SNOOZE::: I bought the book for the history of Victorinox. Second, it shows pictures and gives stats for various SAKS. However, it doesn't do that for all the different knives. For instance, the author lists 27 models in the "small knife" category, but only depicts and gives data on 5 of those models. Knives like the Rally. Rambler, Escort, Mini Champ are only mentioned in the list of 27 models. The Pioneer was only talked about in reference to the 2016 Limited Edition. The Cadet, one of today's more popular model, isn't even mentioned.A good start, but very lacking. The author acknowledges Victorinox's help with the book, so there is no reason for these omissions of modern models.

Great price!
Grandson found a couple old Swiss Army knives, decided it would make a nice thing to collect, so I bought him this, a collectors edition, for a reasonable price. He really enjoyed it!
