You only need a little bit of product each time you clean and re-lubricate. **Q: Can this be used on an eliptical machine/stationary bike? For squeeky exercise equipement?** A: I don't know for sure, but if it has a chain then it needs lubrication, and this is a chain lubricant. It should do the job.If it doesn't have a chain, then probably not. **Q: Anyone know whether the 2 or 4 oz bottles are easily refillable? Otherwise, how does one dispense from the 32 oz container?** A: on the 4 oz bottle i think the nipple is removable but i crushed the nipple before i could get it off. I i just squeeze the empty bottle dunk the tip in the lube and release, you can get the bottle surprisingly full this way, at least 80% full, maybe 100% if you do it twice. **Q: Is this good for dry sand and wind in the desert? i.e. Burning Man** A: depends. I've found this works great for rides under around 5 hrs. After that it's in need of replenishing. Their wet works well for longer durations and they claim their wet is better for extreme environments. I've used the dry on both my road and mountain bikes.and it is great at not attracting dirt, but definitely needs to be reapplied for each ride. The main problem is that the fluid is very difficult to remove and it leaves the chain, and any other surface it might get on, very sticky. If you use this lubricant, you should wear gloves when applying it, because it is very difficult to wash off. Being a flouride-based product it is not good to have in the environment either.
