This - and most other similar comparative slides, I'm sure - are clear glass slides with a very cheap red finish.  It's not a slide made from red glass (see photo).  The finish starts to  come off almost immediately, leaving a splotchy, unattractive appearance.  I liked the idea of a red glass slide, looks cool.  I had another clear glass slide I'd ordered from Shane Speal, the cigar box guitar guy.  same junk, which he refunded me the money, as did this merchant.  I did find a nice red metal slide that I like from musicians friend, but still would like to find a true red glass slide.
