    $850 Cure for cigar smell in the house

While I would prefer to smoke my cigars on the porch, the weather has forced me inside. I had to get something to deal with the lingering odor. This unit was expensive, but it works. Im not sure how long the charcoal filter will last, but for now it is handling at least two cigars daily indoors.

Using it in a room where my father smokes. It really absorbs the smoke! People who have visited even commented what a difference the purifier makes. Recently the smell of smoke started permeating down the hallway, so we changed the tar filter and vacuumed the other filters according to the directions, and it is like new. Going 3 months strong now! So happy we bought this!

Wonderful filter, does a great job of filtering smoke!Until you have to change the filters! Every filter change requires you to turn the filter upside down and remove the 4 screws and the bottom plate.The tar barrier filter is easy to replace (if you can find one for sale!) just pull it out from the inside of the carbon filter,The carbon filter (which is the reason this filter works so well) is easy to replace every year or so. Juts pull it out and put a new one in.BUT! To do that, you have to deal with the real problem, the outer fiber filter that wraps around the carbon filter. In 3 years, I have never managed to put this thing back together with the outer filter neatly wrapped around the carbon filter.I've had enough, looking for a new filter.PROS: Works great!CONS: Noisy at full speed, expensive filter replacement, difficult filter replacement.
