Seriously, I am not usually thrilled by "business how-to" books. Usually, they give the same information presented in a different fashion. However, this book was different.I am somewhat of a new Etsy seller. I opened my shop about a year ago, and have had some sales but not many. When I saw this book on Amazon, I figured maybe it would help me understand a little more of what I wanted as an Etsy seller. Well....I was blown away from this book. From page one I was hooked. It is a very well written, easy to follow book. I could totally relate to what the author was saying. As a bonus, it came with some worksheets to download,quizzes and exercises to help me understand myself and how I run my shop. It was very interesting to find out how I see my personality and myself as an Etsy seller. He even gave tips on how to go about running your business in regards to your personality, as well as suggestions about things to try to make your business run smoother. When I first started selling on Etsy, I thought it would be just "list your items and they would sell". Now I realize there is so much more to running a business. I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it to all online handmade sellers, not just Etsy. You will be glad you did!!! To understand the other "50% of Etsy Sucess", I am going to now read the second book by Jason Malinak, Etsy-Preneurship: Everything You Need to Know to Turn Your Handmade Hobby Into a Thriving Business. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Thinking of starting an Etsy business *by R***D on Reviewed in the United States on January 10, 2014* This book really will help anyone who's starting an online business or struggling with their existing one.There are quizzes and exercises to help you figure out what type of shop to open and what type of personality you have for your Etsy shop. This book was an eye opener for me. I previously had thought selling on Etsy would be like selling on eBay but the truth is, if you want to have a business, you have to work at it. This book gives you lots of ideas and suggestions of things to try to make your business run better. Jason has another book, "Etsy-Preneurship: Everything You Need to Know to Turn Your Handmade Hobby Into a Thriving Business". That's next on my reading list before I start selling online. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I love this book! *by J***H on Reviewed in the United States on January 31, 2014* I found this book super easy to read- well organized and non-repetitive (as in the ideas aren't explained over and over in a slightly different way as so many other similar books seem to be. It states the idea, explains it, and moves on) The tests are extremely helpful in figuring out what your strengths and weaknesses are, and plenty of information is given on what to do once you know, such as how to use that to your advantage and next steps.
